Help Us Make An Impact Today

Most heroes wear a badge. Ours wears a collar. Our department is looking to bring on a new K9 —a partner who can find what the human eye misses, de-escalate dangerous situations, and keep our community safe.

However, a K9 is more than just a dog; it is a highly trained specialist. From tracking missing persons to detecting illegal substances, their impact is immediate. In the last year, the Tustin PD has retired three K9s, and the Foundation just sponsored one new K9. We need another in the first quarter of 2026, and that is where we would appreciate your help. The cost of onboarding our four-legged partners is considerable, at running a little below twenty thousand dollars.

How you can help: The cost of acquiring, training, and equipping a new K9 is significant. Your donation goes directly toward:

  • Specialized Training / Handler Training: Hundreds of hours of elite instruction.

  • Safety Gear: K9 ballistic vests and heat-monitoring systems for vehicles.

  • Veterinary Care: Keeping our hardest-working officer in peak condition.
